Here is Luan Sousa.
I am currently a Master’s student in Statistics at the Institute of Mathematics (IM) at UFRJ. I hold a bachelor’s degree with a solid foundation in Statistics, Machine Learning, and Programming. I am proficient in Python and R, data retrieval and processing with SQL, predictive modeling using scikit-learn, and data visualization with Tableau, Matplotlib, and Seaborn.
My previous work and research have spanned Machine Learning (supervised and unsupervised learning) and Generalized Linear Models. Currently, as a Master’s student, I focus on regularization techniques in machine learning models and Bayesian Artificial Intelligence, with special interest in Bayesian Networks. I am driven by the challenge of applying rigorous statistical methods to complex real-world problems, always aiming to generate value and meaningful insights.

- August 2024：Presented our work “Adjusted Zero Gamma Inverse Regression Model” (Modelo de regressão gama inversa com zeros ajustados) at the 25º SINAPE in Fortaleza!
- March 2025：Successfully defended my monograph “Predictive Modeling of League of Legends Using Supervised Learning” (Modelagem Preditiva de League of Legends Usando Aprendizado Supervisionado) and received top honors!
- mar 2026：I began my master’s degree in Statistics at the Institute of Mathematics of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
