About Me

Here is Luan Sousa
M.Sc. Student in Statistics, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ)
B.Sc. in Statistics, Federal University of Ceará (UFC)
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics from the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) and am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Statistics at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). My academic background provides a solid foundation in Statistical Theory, Machine Learning, and Computational Methods.
I am proficient in Python and R for statistical computing, data retrieval and processing using SQL, predictive modeling with scikit-learn, and data visualization through Tableau, Matplotlib, and Seaborn.
My undergraduate research focused on supervised learning applications, specifically predictive modeling in competitive gaming environments. Currently, as a Master’s student, my research interests include regularization techniques in high-dimensional models and Bayesian methods, with emphasis on Bayesian Networks and Bayesian Artificial Intelligence.
I am committed to the application of rigorous statistical methodologies to complex real-world problems, aiming to produce reproducible research and actionable insights.
